Personal Computer Installation and Set-Up

Just invested in a new PC for home or home office use? Connecting up a new PC and getting going for the first time can be daunting. I can help to get you started and make sure everything is running as it should be. Did it include a bunch of trial software [trialware] that you're likely never use and will only serve to overuse memory and storage space? How about the data you would like to keep from the old PC? Or integrating into your existing home network?

Installations can include:

• Unpacking the system components
• Cabling them together
• Initial testing (if needed)
• Installing drivers and software required to make the products work
• Sometimes running diagnostics and resolving problems (if needed)
• Instruction on updating the Operating System (OS) and application software
• Setting up of Internet account and configuration of email (if necessary)
